Right now I’m trying to figure out who to be most pissed at. I have several choices and all are tempting. MAC Cosmetics? UPS? Regardless, I’m getting really pissed off here. I’m just trying to figure out who to be most pissed at.
This debacle began when I ordered a bunch of stuff from MAC Cosmetics for my wife for Christmas. They shipped quickly, but there were only four items in the box despite the fact that five items were listed on the invoice. I emailed them and they were very apologetic. They said they would ship the omitted item by two-day delivery if I wanted. I said yes.
This was the last I heard from them…
until I finally emailed them to ask what the hell was going on. Apparently they had shipped back on 12/13 and not told me. Or told me a tracking number. Not a big problem, right?
Except, UPS never delivered the package. I find out today that UPS claims they tried to deliver 3 times and then received a phone call to hold the package. When I didn’t pick up, they returned to sender.
Except again, I never received a single notice. I never made the call to hold the package. I complained on the phone, but there was nothing they could do. They had already returned the package to sender and said they would note a complaint about the situation.
Actually, I am not really that torn. I’m pissed at MAC Cosmetics for messing up the order and not letting me know that they had shipped the replacement so I could have been watching, but they didn’t claim they left me 3 notices about a package when a single one hadn’t been left. They didn’t claim I called to ask the package to be held when I could possibly have done so (since I never received a notice that I even had a package that they had attempted to deliver). No, I’m much more pissed at UPS. I just wanted to act like I was torn so I could bitch a bit here.
Regardless, I’m pissed. I’m pissed that UPS apparently has no responsibility when the drivers say they leave notes and don’t. I’m pissed that they can just return packages to senders and claim they got a phone call saying to do so when such a call couldn’t have validly happened. All in all, I’m just pissed. I don’t even know if I’ll ever get the item I ordered for my wife.
