Making My Wife Wonder

My wife was watching the French open last night and mentioned that del Potro beat Isner. I said that I knew, and that it was too bad since Isner would have been the first American in the French open semifinals since Agassi in 2003. She immediately looked at me and demanded how I knew that.

You see, my wife is the big tennis fan/player. I am not. Not at all. I only even really know the names because she watches and talks about it so much. However, the above factoid had been on one of the elevator displays at work earlier that day. I told her as much, but it was still funny to mess with her and make her think this was something I actually knew.

I’m honestly not sure I even have it right now.
